Why I'm rebuilding my portfolio in code

There's a moment when you realize the tool you're using is shaping what you make, not the other way around.

For years, my portfolio lived on a platform that was built for everyone. And that's exactly the problem. When your site looks like it could belong to anyone, it doesn't really belong to you.

The gap

I'm a designer who codes. I work with data. I build tools. But my portfolio could only show screenshots and descriptions. It couldn't do anything. You couldn't try my tools. You couldn't feel the craft.

The decision

So I'm building it from scratch. Next.js, Vercel, Framer Motion. Every scroll animation, every hover state, every pixel: intentional.

What I've learned so far

The site itself became the portfolio piece. The process of building it is teaching me more about product thinking than any case study ever could.

This is the lab. Things are growing here.
