April is a playful restaurant-finder app for Tel Aviv. She has opinions, she answers in Hebrew, and she's powered by a Google Sheet I update like a notebook. The product is small on purpose: one screen, one decision, one good meal.
Sheets as a CMS
April reads a public Google Sheet via OpenSheet. No backend, no database, no admin panel: every restaurant I love goes in a row, and the app picks up the change in seconds.
Personality is the product
The recommendation engine is honestly not the point. The point is that April talks like a friend with opinions. She'd rather send you somewhere weird than somewhere safe.
