Nocturne is a concept for a late-hours espresso bar, somewhere between a wine bar and a third wave coffee shop. There's no product yet, just a strong picture in my head and a folder full of references. This page is the picture, before it becomes the thing.
The picture in my head
A bar that opens at 9pm and closes at 2am. Espresso, single-origin filter, small plates that aren't pretending to be dinner. Warm light. Room for two people at the bar with a book and a third drink. The kind of place you find by accident and then start sending people to.
Why it's a seed
There's no menu yet, no space, no brand book, no site. There's a folder of references that all rhyme. That's enough to put it on the page. Sometimes the first draft of a project is a wall of mood.
