Tony Ve Ester is a real Israeli restaurant that ran a poster brief open to design students — a brief I took on during my design studies at 6B. I treated it like any other client job: studied their space, their food, their tone, and designed a poster that could live torn on a wall and glued to a column. I didn't take home the win. The work still stands and I still like it, which is the only reason it's in this portfolio.
Why keep a brief you didn't win
Because the brief was real, the work was real, and the constraint was real. School projects are usually invented. This wasn't. The poster had to survive being printed cheap, glued in a hurry, and photographed at night. That's a useful constraint to design under.
