TravelMate is a trip-planning app concept from my UX/UI studies: full flows, user research, and pixel screens — fronted by Pacco, a hand-drawn penguin in a scarf who talks you through planning. The design bet: a black-and-white interface where the only personality allowed in is the mascot and your own travel photos.
A mascot instead of a color system
Travel apps drown you in teal. TravelMate stays black-and-white and lets two things carry all the emotion: Pacco the penguin, and the destination photography. The interface gets out of the way; the trip is the color.
